Meet the face behind the posts

My name is Jeff Bennett; welcome to my blog!

I am here to promote discipleship with all believers who should feel a responsibility and call to action to grow as a disciple-learner in Christ, who will mature to become a disciple-maker for Christ, and take Jesus’ Great Commission call boldly into our world of influence as missional-disciples with Christ! (Matthew 28:18-20)

I was saved on July 30, 1990, while serving in Misawa, Japan with the United States Air Force. That’s me in the BDU uniform with my second missionary mentor, Brad Ball of Cadence International. I went on to serve with Cadence International as a House Ministries Director about fourteen years later. Next to salvation, the two sets of missionaries gave me the second greatest gift of all – DISCIPLESHIP! The Balls intended that my wife and I would be able to go back to the States and be disciple-makers. We remained in contact with both couples were modeled excellencies in spiritual parenting!

I received my initial ministry training through the Ministerial Studies Program (MSP) with the Christian and Missionary Alliance (C&MA), and licensed for Cadence International. Later in life, I received my BS in Religion and Global Studies and an MA in Biblical Exposition with Liberty University. I am set to finish my DMIN in Discipleship (also with Liberty) in May 2026.

A special shout out to our military members and their families. It is my prayer that churches reach out and embrace these singles and families who remain often for a short time in our local assemblies, but should be sought all the more for discipleship, encouragement, growth (2 Tim 2:3-4; 2:2).
